Although the Neue Schule bit is single jointed it is designed to eradicate the nutcracker action and subsequent problems that a straight arm single jointed snaffle can cause
- The Curved mouthpiece prevents the bit from being too far forwards in the horse’s mouth and putting pressure on the upper palate
- Sweeps slightly away from the corners of the mouth to prevent rubbing
- When contact is taken the bit creates a channel for the tongue relieving pressure on the more sensitive edges of the tongue
- Beneficial for horses which back off the contact or offer only intermittent contact
